Saprae Creek Estates
Established in 1987, Saprae Creek Estates is a country residential community located approximately 25 kms southeast of Fort McMurray. The main entrance to Saprae Creek Estates is by Highway 69, located southeast of Highway 63. Built at the crest of the Clearwater River Valley, Saprae Creek Estates offers a quiet acreage lifestyle to its 603 residents. This lifestyle includes access to the all-season Vista Ridge Recreation Facility, which is billed as "the best non-mountain winter recreation area in Alberta!" Housing varies from manufactured homes to estates, located on treed lots ranging from one to five acres. Saprae Creek students are bussed to Fort McMurray schools and all health services are provided by the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre in Fort McMurray. Saprae Creek also has a volunteer fire department and a Neighbourhood Watch program-along with community organizations dealing with recreation, beautification and resident concerns.
